About Us

As-salamu alaykum. My name is Ahmad and I am from Nejrab, which is why I'm called Nejrabi.

For years I preformed salah without understanding what I was saying. It was at the age of forty that I learned the meaning and commentary of the Quranic surahs — drawn from Tafsir Noor written by the late Dr. Mostafa Khorramdel, published by Ehsan, which I had purchased from Kabul. Such a passion ignited in my heart that the more I read, the more I became captivated by the Holy Quran. Your prayer changes when you know what you are saying.

By studying authentic books of Sunnah and various commentaries, I strive every day to increase my knowledge, because until we leave this world we must keep learning. Due to the war in Afghanistan, like millions of others, I emigrated abroad. In Canada I completed Grade 12, and after several years in the field of Information Technology (IT) I finally entered university and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. After working for a few years at a university's engineering faculty, I left my Master's studies — which I had been pursuing during the COVID-19 pandemic — and took up work in electronics, specifically in the field of automation (robotics).

We are people who strive to have the fear of the Day of Judgement in our hearts and to perform deeds that earn the pleasure of Allah the Almighty. We wish to be such people, and we have prepared this humble space as a service to illuminate the minds of Muslims from superstitions and material that contradicts the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). We are free from sectarianism and any partisan, political, governmental, religious, or geographical affiliations.

By understanding the truth of Islam — a religion that builds human beings — a person rises from the lowest of the low (asfal al-safileen) to the noble station of humanity, where they know the rights of themselves, their parents, their neighbours, animals, plants, and all of creation.

O Allah, guide us to the straight path so that on the Day of Resurrection we are counted among the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Please pray for me, my family, and all those who help with this work.
